Takehomenews Sunday 4 June 2023

THE MOST HOLY THRINTY (A)

Trinity Sunday is a day to give praise to God for his infinite power and His presence among us and for us, recognising the three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Right from the start of our Christian lives, we have been filled with the Trinity as we were baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Each time we pray, we make the sign of the Cross, in the name of the Trinity. Each time we are blessed or an article is blessed, it is done so in the name of the Trinity. The Church teaches us that there are three Persons but one God, a Trinity of one substance, equal in majesty. It is the Father who created us, the Son who redeemed us and the Holy Spirit who sanctifies us. We are being drawn into this unique relationship, so much so that we can feel as though we are the 4th Person
